We all loved the house and the wonderful views on both sides. The sunsets were glorious. An eagle family put on regular displays – teaching junior how to feed. A good base for many trips – Horne Lake caves, Mount Washington, Mount Arrowsmith. We ran out of days! And Ray’s shrimps were a special treat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Heron House. The weather was fabulous along with the beachcombing, seal watching and running. Went to Parksville to see the sand sculptures – it is amazing what they can do! Went whale watching from Cowichan Bay and saw several killer whales up close – magnificent. A great time was had by all.

Spectacular views makes waking up in the morning a joy. We felt our stress start to leave within moments of arrival. Our 18 month old toddler has been so excited and happy here; he sometimes just runs on the spot with a smile on his face
